When I used to take my little girl to birthday parties, I would notice that she never ate the birthday cake. She would eat the pizza and sometimes the icecream, but never the cake. One day I asked her why she didn't want to eat the cake and she said that it never tastes as good as it looks.She was 4 at the time. I looked at her like who are you and what did you do with my little girl. She was more mature about her food choices than I was. They served cake, I ate it. And, I had to agree with her. Some of those supermarket cakes tasted gross, but that didn't stop ME from eating it. Out of the mouths of babes. Your post is right on.
