Eat for your “freakin” Age

By

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Corinthians 13:11

Why am I quoting a biblical verse, folks? I won’t confess to be the most religious person out there, but this verse gets across a point I want to make. Pay attention!

I remember when I was in grade school, my lunch would consist of pizza, cookies,  and french fries. I use to hate what my mom made me for dinner, so I would opt for mac n cheese or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As I grew out of my adolescent stage, and got into fitness I realized I couldn’t eat like a “freakin” third grader anymore! I see alot of adults when I  am out who still eat like three graders and wonder why they can’t lose weight. For the most part, they are still eating mac n cheese,  sugary cereals,  and hotdogs but its disguised a little bit differently. There isn’t anything wrong with the occasional hotdog if its something you are using to reward yourself for a week of “clean” eating, but it shouldn’t be an everyday lunch/dinner thing!

If you are serious about transforming your body, you have to put your childish eating habits behind you. Quit eating like a “freakin “ third grader and get some lean protein, good carbs, and vegetables on your plate. I am willing to bet you’ll look and feel better. Until next time… See you on the lean side!

    Darren,

You are so right about “eating for your age.” So many people are past their 40′s and still eating Cheetos and Fruit Loops and I’m sure they feel like crap!
